Jay Paul Deratany made his screenwriting debut with "Justice Square." Inspired by the events that Mr. Deratany's play "Haram Iran" explored, "Justice Square" takes a deeper look into the harsh realities of human rights in countries other than our own. "Justice Square" was a semi-finalist in the the 2013 LA Screenplay Competition

Mr. Deratany is currently working on his second screenplay, "Foster Boy" which delves into the harsh realities of foster care in America & how the legal system tries to remedy those shortcomings.
